Alpha7 Esports are the champions of PUBG Mobile World Invitational West (PMWI) 2021

The prize money will be donated to charities for a good cause!

After four consecutive days of dazzling fight in the PUBG Mobile World Invitational West (PMWI) 2021, Alpha7 Esports from Brazil has emerged as champions. The champion team showed some extraordinary and fearsome gun-power in PUBG Mobile on their journey to win the trophy. As a part of goodwill, the prize money won by all the teams will be donated to different charities for supporting underdeveloped countries with vaccines.

The fight for achieving glory among sixteen teams from across North America, South America, Europe, and Africa began on the 22nd of July, 2021. Alpha7 Esports had gathered a total of 251 points. Konina Power and  Next Rüya Gaming obtained the second and the third position respectively. All of the teams performed their best and entertained the audience with non-stop actions and unpredictability throughout the whole tournament.


PUBG Mobile World Invitational West (PMWI) 2021: How it went

RTG Esports had started with a chicken dinner in the first match of the first day. German team Destiny had secured the top spot in the overall leaderboards with 66 points and 36 kills. They took a 15 kills Chicken Dinner in the second match.

The teams continued to show their domination on the second day. Like the initial day of the tournament, no team could take more than one chicken dinner. Next Rüya Gaming climbed to the tabletop with 106 points. Surprisingly, Konina Power also gathered the same points as Next Rüya Gaming but stayed in second place as their placement points were less than the table topper.

Konina Power finished the third day being at the top of the point table. RTG Esports did show some amazing gameplay that secured the second position for them. Finishing the day with only 3 points behind the first-placed team, Alpha7 Esports broke into the top three.

On the tournament’s final day, Alpha7 Esports and Ghost Gaming took two chicken dinners each and raised the competition a lot. The nail-biting last day ended with Alpha7 Esports becoming the champion.

“KNOWME” from Team Konina Power became the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the tournament. His contribution to the team helped them to become the runner-up.

Final Verdict

The tournament was announced by Tencent under their collaboration with GWB (gamers without borders). Therefore, all the prize money will be donated to charities of the team’s choice. However, all teams have received a participation bonus of USD 5,000 for playing in the event. Teams will surely want to use the experiences gathered in PMWI West 2021 in the upcoming tournaments.
