The soft-release of the popular free to play PC and Console first-person shooter, Apex Legends is expected for mobile devices this year with the final global release by September 2022. According to IGN India, the game’s development is being headed by Tencent and Electronic Arts’ Respawn. Respawn also headed the game’s development for PC and Console (PlayStation, Xbox) platforms.
Device requirements for Apex Legends Mobile (expected)
Coming to the recommended requirements for playing on mobile, while there hasn’t been an official announcement from Electronic Arts, the following are supposedly the recommended requirements.
- Android: Minimum Snapdragon 625 processor
- iOS: A11 bionic
For iOS devices, a device equipped with an A11 bionic (which means iPhone 8 and above) and above would run the game while on the other hand, android smartphones with a Snapdragon 625 (which means phones made after 2018) or above would suffice. Keep in mind that this is not official yet and may change, in the future depending on how the game’s development turns out.
Another thing worth talking about is cross-play. Once the game releases for Mobile and the Switch, it would feature crossplay, which means that you could play with your Console or PC gamer friends.
That being said, the wait among mobile gamers for the critically acclaimed game continues and we hope that we’ll be getting more news and updates about the game’s development and release soon hopefully from EA themselves. Battle Royale games have been a favourite among the mobile gaming community and Apex Legends could very well be the game which quenches our thirst for these games.
