The release date is far away still!

It has been revealed that Apple’s revolutionary AR headset Vision Pro will feature over 100 Apple Arcade games on launch day. The announcement came at the WWDC23 event, which showcased some exciting features of the upcoming product that can be controlled by the eyes, hands, and voice of the wearer.

Apple Vision Pro will also come with controller support

Apple Vision Pro is a brand-new “spatial computer” developed by Apple that provides an immersive viewing experience that is augmented by cutting-edge Spatial Audio with unrivaled audio-visual quality. With controller support, Apple Vision Pro will feature over 100 Apple Arcade games upon its launch. NBA 2K23 was showcased in the event for the demonstration but with a controller. Popular game engine Unity which has been working with Apple to bring an immersive 3D experience will have its games and apps gaining full access to VisionOS features.

More details regarding the list of games haven’t been revealed yet. In their press release, Apple added: “Spatial computing makes new types of games possible with titles that can span a spectrum of immersion and bring gamers into all-new worlds. Users can also play over 100 Apple Arcade games on a screen as large as they want, with incredible immersive audio and support for popular game controllers.”

Apple Vision Pro is scheduled for an early 2024 launch

The highly anticipated headset will be priced at $3,499 on launch scheduled for early 2024. While Apple did not provide an exact release date, they mentioned that it would be available in select locations starting next year.

The question of whether Apple Arcade games will be included for free with the purchase of the Apple Vision Pro headset remains unanswered. As Apple Arcade is a separate subscription service that offers access to a wide range of games across various Apple devices, it is unknown whether the same arrangement will apply to the Apple Vision Pro.
