Manjuu Games, the developer behind the popular side-scrolling shoot ’em up title Azur Lane has announced a brand new project titled Azur Promilia. From the looks of it, the game will revolve around a fantasy world and will be heading towards a launch across multiple platforms including Android, iOS, PC, and PS5. The pre-registration of Azur Promilia is now open on the official website.

From what’s shared by the developers, Azur Promilia is set in a fantasy world where you’ll discover civilizations, magic, and amazing creatures. From diving from the sky into the depths of the ocean to following shooting stars through the sparkling night sky, we get to embark on our unique adventure. They have mentioned this as a magical journey of discovery and companionship.
Now, with the name already being inspired by Azur Lane while taking the first half of it, I also see the game also draws influence from various other anime RPGs. A notable inclusion would be HoYoverse’s adventure role-playing title Genshin Impact, where I did see plenty of world-building somewhat similar, but it looks beautiful in the trailer, so I have no complaints.
We also have a good look at the characters in the game as well as the map, if not extensive, gives you enough detail as to what to explore in the game. Now, besides the characters, some creatures can serve as companions, and this reminds us of games like Monster Hunter or Palworld, with the latter’s inspiration a bit more clear with some creature types shown in the trailer.
With this title announced, I see there is quite an interest from developers to create exploration titles. The trend began with Genshin Impact being a huge hit across multiple markets, and that is being carried by other games, aiming to bank on that player base.

Azur Promilia has now opened pre-registration via its official website. There are no store pages active yet, so you need to drop in your email and get ready for future updates.
Now, coming to launch details, there is no official confirmation on the dates yet. I sense a pattern to follow with multiple tests followed by a regional launch before releasing worldwide, so keep an eye on this space for updates.
