Battle Stars celebrates Independence Day with the new Delhi map in the game

Battle Stars, a casual battle royale game developed in India, has surpassed over 5 million players globally since its release. To commemorate the occasion and this landmark, developer SuperGaming has announced that Battle Stars will receive a new map inspired by the nation’s capital, Delhi.

Battle Stars Delhi map features a host of famous landmarks much like the well-received Mumbai map

The Battle Stars Delhi map, like the game’s well-received Mumbai map, offers a slew of iconic sites. To name a few, key places including India Gate and Red Fort, as well as the Presidential Palace and Connaught Place will be playable in the game. Moreover, on August 15, 2023, players will get to spot the national tricolor flag on India Gate and the Red Fort in Battle Stars to mark Independence Day.

ā€œSeason 2 of Battle Stars saw a staggering 20 million matches played, We wanted to take the experience further by bringing Delhi to the game,ā€ says Christelle D’cruz, Battle Stars Game Lead and co-founder at SuperGaming. ā€œTo do this, we visited Delhi to capture its vibe and culture to bring it in-game as well as taking inputs from the community. Our new Squad BR features are also based on community feedback.ā€

Furthermore, Battle Stars was created in partnership with India’s top gaming YouTuber, Techno Gamerz aka Ujjwal Chaurasia. In earlier Battle Stars upgrades, he collaborated closely with SuperGaming to create his playable hero, the Techno Quest, and new skins based on his character. As a Delhi native, Techno Gamerz has contributed his knowledge and familiarity with the city to the Delhi map. Players with keen eyes will soon be able to see his house in it.

Other new features to the map include location-specific sound effects for a more immersive gameplay experience, such as the hustle and bustle of traffic in Connaught Place or the swarming crowds at India Gate. Players can also employ new emotes to depict Delhi slang.

Together with the new Delhi map, Battle Stars receives some additional gameplay choices based on user input. Squad BR features include the option to play the battle royale mode in Trios (allowing you to leap with two friends or two random players), collect Star Crates for power-ups, and plunder eliminated people.
