Blacklist International crowned as the champions of Free Fire MCP Majors Season 2

The second edition of the Free Fire MCP Majors or the Free Fire MCP Majors Season 2 has concluded today with Blacklist International becoming the champion to lift the trophy of the event. Being the champion, the team secured their place in the Asia championship Finals 2021 and will play in the next edition of this tournament as well. Moreover, the 2nd-4th placed teams will play Asia Championship Playins and the top six for the next season of MVP Majors.

Organized by Garena, MCP Majors Season 2 is the main esports event of the MCP region (Malaysia – Cambodia – Philippines) bringing together 18 of the best teams. Featuring a massive $50,000 prize pool, the tournament started on 28th August 2021 and concluded today.

Free Fire MCP Majors Season 2: Blacklist Internationals’ road to victory

Six matches were played throughout Bermuda, Kalahari, and Purgatory in this event. With 46 position points and 29 kills points, Blacklist International gathered a total of 75 points during their journey towards being champions. The team scored two BOOYAHs. Moreover, the runner-up team, DOEASY also managed two BOOYAHs but lost it to Blacklist because of the position points. Thus, the team finished second with 9 points behind the champion.

The top 6 teams from the first season and the top 12 from Qualifier Finals fought for six weeks. Blacklist International qualified for the grand finals by becoming the 7th team from the league stage. The team kept their heads low in the league stage but showed domination in the finals. League stage winner PXG Radicals finished the event being 5th.

Competition Prize Pool

The event featured a huge amount of $50,000 as the prize pool for the participating teams. Being the champion, Blacklist International has got a big share of $15,800. Moreover, the runner-up team, DOEASY, got $7,600, and the third-placed team, 4X MEN XPERT has taken $4,000 home.

Blacklist International is a Multi-gaming Organization based in the Philippines under Tier One Entertainment. They entered Free Fire by acquiring the Baby Argon lineup in March 2021. However, the journey doesn’t end here for Blacklist International as they’ll join other six teams from other regions in Asia. Starting from November this year, the goal for Blacklist International is now set to represent MCP in the Asian stage.
