Brawl Stars just dropped their December update, Pirate Brawlidays, and as you may have guessed from the name, it’s centred around pirates! There are 2 new Brawlers in-game, new skins for Carl, Colt and Poco, and more! Read on to find out:
Two New Brawlers
The December update has brought 2 new Brawlers with it. They are –
1. MAX
She’s a super speedy, high-energy Brawler who shoots built-up static electricity from her wrist blaster, that is, Brawl Stars’ very own superhero!
- Main Attack: Short burst of shots.
- Super: Adds an extra speed boost to Max and nearby friendly Brawlers for a short time.
- Star Power- Super Charged: Movement increases her Super charge.
- Star Power- Run n’ Gun (coming soon!): Movement recharges her main attack.
2. BEA
She’s an entomologist who uses her bee helper drones to gather samples for Rosa! Be careful, because those drones are also sniper bullets!
- Main Attack: Long-range sniper shot. Hitting an enemy Brawler with the first attack amplifies the next shot.
- Super – Bee Swarm: Bea launches a swarm of bees at her enemies which damage on hit and slow them for 3 seconds.
- Star Power – Insta Beeload: Missing an amplified attack charges up another amplified attack.
- Star Power – Honey Coat (coming soon!): When taking lethal damage, survives with 1hp and becomes invincible for a moment once per respawn.
New Skins – Get those shiny gems out
There are new skins introduced in the update, as with every update. They are:
- Corsair Colt – 150 gems*
- Pirate Poco – 80 gems*
- Lady Bug Bea – 30 gems
- GT Max – 30 gems.
- Captain Carl – 150 gems*
- Santamike – 49 gems*
- Lil Helper Penny – 49 gems*
- Red-Nosed Nita – 99 gems*
The asterisk * indicates that the skins are seasonal because they can be purchased during Pirate Brawlidays only.

Pirate Brawlidays New Game Mode: Present Plunder
This is a limited time game-mode, that is, it will be available till the Pirate Brawliday season is on. In this, you have to steal presents from your opponents on the field. This game mode is playable in 3v3 format.
- Each team must defend their present while attempting to walk to the enemy base, steal a gift by walking over it, and deliver that gift back to their own base.
- Dropped presents are automatically returned to the home base after a few seconds on the ground, that is, they do not remain where they are dropped.
- Presents can be thrown by using the main attack, that is, as you kick the ball in Brawl Ball using your main attack, you can throw the presents to your side in the same way.
- 2 Stolen presents are needed for the win.
Pirate Brawlidays Championship Challenge
This is a monthly challenge, where players can battle for glory, while also earning great rewards, and the very best players can earn a seat at the Brawl Stars Championship!
- In this, one can earn up to 15 rewards in number, that is, the maximum number of rewards is 15.
- Only those players who have more than 800 total trophies can participate in this Challenge.
Map Changes
- New environment – Darryl’s Ship.
- Tons of new community-made maps!
Quality Of Life (QoL) Changes
- ‘Queue for group‘: Allows players to queue for a game room with matchmade teammates.
- Quick Chat: It allows you to communicate faster with your friends or randoms, that is, no more lags in communication, which is a big plus for Brawl Stars.
- Darryl now fires 5 shells instead of 4 but the damage has been reduced from 300 to 240 per shell. Total damage remains unchanged.
Bug Fixes
- Added missing Leon Sally Super SFX.
- A bug that caused Tara’s shadow to get stuck in the corners in levels, has been fixed.
