A brand-new mobile game based on the popular Charisma multimedia franchise has officially been announced. Titled Charisma de Murder Mystery, the smartphone game is scheduled to launch in 2026, as revealed during the Charisma Stage event at AnimeJapan 2026.
Charisma de Murder Mystery features the seven original characters in a new setting
The project is being developed by AltPlus Co., Ltd., though specific gameplay details haven’t been put out yet. Based on the title, I think the game is expected to lean toward a story-driven, mystery-focused experience, potentially in the style of a visual novel centered around a murder case.
The game will feature the franchise’s core cast, the seven charismatic housemates. However, this time, the story appears to take place in a new setting, possibly involving a different house and a central mystery narrative if we were to go by the title, somewhat like a Murder Mystery theme.
Charisma is a Japanese multimedia project launched in 2021 by EVIL LINE RECORDS. The series revolves around seven distinct personalities living under one roof, each embodying their own version of “charisma.”
The project has grown steadily in popularity in Japan through music tracks, audio dramas, manga adaptations, and stage plays. In November 2025, it was also confirmed that Charisma is getting an anime adaptation, with returning voice actors and a teaser trailer.
At the point of writing, Charisma de Murder Mystery is still early in development, and no gameplay footage or release window beyond 2026 has been shared. If the game’s a hit in Japan, I expect the title to arrive globally as well. Stay tuned for updates till then.
