Civilization: Reign of Power is an MMOSLG released last year by Nexon Games. Civilization: Reign of Power, which was intended to be a mobile edition of the popular Sid Meier’s Civilization series is now about to shut down very soon.
Players and fans of the title find the sudden news of the shutdown surprising
Civilization: Reign of Power got good reception upon its release from the fans however the developers posted an official Notice citing that after careful consideration of every pros and cons they have come up to the decision of ending the services of the game by 8th June 2023. The future roadmap for the game will remain unchanged with all the updates and server merges to remain scheduled as they were.
The developers to avoid confusion and chaos among the fans also came up with a detailed schedule stating the important dates of the future events that will be held before shutdown. They quoted “To provide the best experience possible for all of your Excellencies before the end of service, all the planned updates and server merges will proceed as scheduled. Regarding the server merge, there will be a separate notice with more detailed information in the future.”
Starting from 31st March 2023, the in-game stores will be inaccessible. All in-app purchases will be removed from the store and players will not be able to purchase any products in-game. However gems and gold would be still usable until the ultimate shutdown date. 8th June 2023 however would remain the official shutdown date. Post which the game will not be accessible and the official community of the game will also close at this time.
