Clash of Beasts, the intriguing tower defense strategy game from Ubisoft’s Abu Dhabi studio, is now available on both Android and iOS platforms. In case you haven’t been paying attention, Clash of Beasts is a visually impressive strategy title in which you play as a mercenary with the enviable ability to command titanic beasts in battle. This ability is called the Beastmaster’s Spark, and you share it with your mother Lara Molorn. Unfortunately, Lara is murdered by a villain called Gideon Morvus, propelling you into a campaign of bloody vengeance
Collect, train, and command the mighty beasts to crush your enemies
The gameplay revolves around a core loop of collecting beasts, sending them into battle, claiming rewards in the form of resources, and plowing these resources into your beast army so that you’re even more powerful on your next go-around. There are 65 different beasts to collect, all with their own individual attacks and spells. They belong to four different classes, too, and they all have one of five different elemental affinities.
Of course, all of that applies to your legions of opponents, so before you launch an assault on an enemy’s base it’s important to check their line-ups and their color-coded affinities to ensure that you’re going in with the most effective strike force possible. Battles come in all shapes and sizes, including PvP, Clan War, Kingdom War, and PvE, and they yield rewards like XP, currency, potions, and much more. That’s the conventional multiplayer strategy side of the game covered, but there’s a whole other side to Clash of Beasts.
As well as launching attacks you’ll need to defend your base against enemy incursions, and you do this by strategically placing towers. There are twelve of these to deploy, with powers as diverse as freezing enemies and debuffing poisons. They have affinities, too, and you can create synergies by using them in combination.

Needless to say, with both offensive and defensive warfare to consider, Clash of Beasts is shaping up to be an engrossing strategy game. It certainly looks the part, with epic 3D battles featuring monstrous titans.
