Tencent took over the distribution duties of Clash of Clans last year
For those who do not know, Supercell had a separate Chinese version of the game distributed in Mainland China due to the Govt policies. Beijing Lexiang Ark Game Technology Co Ltd took the distribution of the game until the 4th of November 2022 when Tencent Games took over the publishing duties, after the end of the former’s contract with Supercell.
The Chinese version and the Global version share the same core gameplay, but there are a few changes implemented like some cosmetic items like the Pirate flag have been removed. A few changes in the representation of spells or leagues are also different in the Chinese version. Not to mention, there is a lot of censoring for skins and card images.

Currently, the option to download is available for the Android platform as an installable .apk file.

Here are the steps to download the game on Android.
- The game can be downloaded via the Haoyou Kuaidao app store. However, you shall need the App Client to download Clash of Clans in case you are using the link. You can get it from the link beside the Haoyou Kuaidao logo.
- Players should head to the Haoyou Kuaidao app store to get the Chinese Version of the game and search for Clash of Clans. You can check the store page here.
- On the store page, you can see the Download option. Click on it.
- If you are using the website page, a QR link will pop up, where you shall need the client app to scan to download the game. It will start downloading the game.
- Install the game. You will get an option to link/bind your account, which you can do with the QQ/WeChat account.
