A new event is arriving in Clash of Clans, and there is going to be some meltdown. Well, it is going to be as cold as winter with new temporary troops, special spells, and an all-new Hero Equipment for the Royal Champion.
Clash of Clans ‘Meltdown Mayhem’ December 2025 Event: All you need to know
This event runs from December 8 to December 29, 2025, and just like every special event, it is available for Town Hall 7 and above players. When you log in, you’ll see a short tutorial explaining how the frozen meteor has caused fire mites to hide inside Gold Storages.
Your job is to help them by collecting Sleepy Mites, the event currency used to progress along the reward track and unlock Ember Medals for the Trader Shop. Like always, the event building gives you free mites every day and lets you check your progress.
Event Progression
Sleepy Mites are earned mainly by attacking Gold Storages in battles. Destroying these storages releases a small poison cloud, but it only deals minor damage and does not slow your troops. You can collect mites in regular battles, ranked battles, and even revenge attacks.
During the event, your army automatically receives Ice Golems and Ice Minions in regular battle mode. These help us instantly use the Santa Surprise Spell, which is also part of the event lineup. As you earn points, you unlock temporary units. As you earn points, you unlock temporary units:
- 1,000 points: Ice Wizard
- 2,500 points: Ice Hound
- 4,000 points: Bag of Frost Mites spell
- 6,250 points: Ice Minion unlock
Event Rewards
The Meltdown Mayhem event offers solid rewards for both free and paid players. Reaching the end of the track grants 4,115 Ember Medals, and players who purchase the event pass receive an additional 5,500 medals, along with 600 Glowy Ore and 80 Starry Ore exclusive to paid tracks.
At the Trader Shop, you can exchange Ember Medals for equipment, ores, and decorations. The featured new item this time is the Frost Flake. Alongside the new equipment, we also have older pieces like the Magic Mirror, Spiky Ball, Dark Crown, and Lavaloon Puppet.
New Active Hero Equipment: Frost Flake
Our pick would surely be Frost Flake. This is a new Epic Hero Equipment for the Royal Champion. As an Active skill, it lets her throw freezing flakes at defences, instantly shutting them down. Even at level 1, it completely freezes the target, and the effect scales as you upgrade the item.
At max level, Frost Flake can freeze seven different defenses for seven full seconds, which is longer than a regular Freeze Spell. The Frost Flake can even trigger Invisibility Spell Towers.
