A new season of Clash Royale has made its debut, following the monthly tradition that fans eagerly await. Season 52, aptly named ‘Clash-O-Ween‘ to coincide with the spooky atmosphere of October and Halloween, promises exciting rewards and content for players to enjoy. So, in this article, let us look into what Clash Royale Season 52 Clash-O-Ween October 2023 Update has to offer in terms of new skins, emotes, rewards, and more.
Clash Royale Season 52 Clash-O-Ween October 2023 Update Overview
New Tower Skins
In this update, two new Tower Skins have been officially confirmed that can be acquired either through the Pass Royale or by purchasing them from the in-game shop. The Bat-tlements tower skin is unlocked at Tier 48 of the Gold Tier in Pass Royale, while the Cursed Kitchen tower skin is available for unlocking in the Shop.
The Gold Tier tower skin is based on the Bats, which looks like they are carrying the Halloween drink bottles, or maybe Bat Venom. The Cursed Kitchen is my favorite out of the two skins, given how eerie it looks, and the best of the Halloween resemblance.
New Card Evolution: Bats
Well, this was revealed by the devs themselves a few days back, and I think it is a perfect evolution to bring in this Halloween season. The Bats are the newest to join the Card Evolution list. These evolved bats come equipped with a healing ability, with this ability activating every two cycles. Evolved Bats can restore their health and boost their Hit Points beyond their initial stats. They achieve up to a 50% increase in Hit Points overall upon Evolution.
Emotes and Banners
Once again, seven new emotes will be coming. All the new emotes will be based on the Clash-O-Ween theme which the players can enjoy of the Bats, Night Witch, Witch, and Mother Witch. Alongside, there are 40 brand-new banners available. There are 16 in the Banner Box, 16 for sale, 4 in the Season Shop, and 2 for Diamond Pass Royale owners.
Season Shop and Card Boosts
The Season Shop will return with some fantastic deals, which can be obtained by exchanging season tokens. Along with the cards on offer, banners and emotes are also worthwhile investments, as we have spooky cards in Bats, Tombstone, and Giant Skeleton available in the Season Shop for 500 tokens apiece. Wild Shards will also make an appearance in the shop.
Card Evolution enthusiasts can find Royal Giant Shards in the Season Shop, which can be purchased thrice starting from 5,000 tokens which will add the same value to each purchase. Banner Tokens and Emotes are added too. Four cards have been picked for boost this time around, once again with the Halloween resemblance in Bats, Night Witch, Tombstone, and Giant Skeleton.
Clash Royale October 2023 Balance Changes
There are several new nerfs and buffs that are arriving in the game. Some of the Evolution cards get some changes whereas Nerfs have overshadowed the overall update.

Skeletons Evolution
They are clearly confused with this card. Sometimes 6, sometimes 8.

Ice Golem
An important change.
- Slowdown Duration: 1.5 āĀ 2
Goblin Cage
A needed buff.
- Goblin Brawler Hitpoints: 485 āĀ 510
Giant
The extra range should help him reach his target quicker.
- Range: Melee: Medium āĀ Melee: Long (+33%)
Nerfed Cards
Knight Evolution
Although he had been nerfed once already given his abilities, he gets another nerf in HP.
- Hitpoints: -8%
Barbarian Evolution
Barbarians, who have been dominating the meta, will see a reduction in their damage output and a slight nerf to their health.
- Barbarians Evolution Hitpoints: -8%
- Damage: -8%
Bomb Tower
The Bomb Tower, enjoying immense popularity, is being adjusted to offer other buildings an opportunity to see more playtime.
- Hit Speed: 1.6sec āĀ 1.8sec (-13%)
Magic Archer
This adjustment extends the counterplay window for opponents.
- First Hit Speed: 500 āĀ 800 (-60%)
Lava Hound
Another meta change.
- Hitpoints:Ā -6%
Reworked Cards
Snowball
- Slowdown Duration: 2.5sec āĀ 3sec (+20%)
- Damage: -7%
