Codename: Guangqi, or Light Awaken, is a new pet-catching social sandbox RPG that has announced a closed beta test, called the Glimmer Test, scheduled from November 19 to November 23 on Android in China. Recruitment for this test is now open until November 17.

To me, Codename: Guangqi feels like a charming mix of Palworld and Minecraft, set in a world made of billions of blocks. And just like Minecraft, you can shape the terrain however you like, from dense forests to the vast Gobi Desert, while mining resources and uncovering ancient ruins.
Moreover, the Palworld influence really shines through with over a hundred adorable pets, each with its own unique skills. So, you can adventure with them, take on boss battles together, or let them help you out with tasks while exploring and building. Honestly, I’m curious to witness this unique mix.
And if the devs pull this off perfectly, I think this title could really pop off. I mean, there’s total freedom to build anything from a cozy hideaway to a full survival base. - Next, tap on this Recruitment link.
- Make sure to pre-register the game on HaoYouKuaiBao.
- Now, complete the recruitment questionnaire with proper details.
- Press submit, and you’re done.
If you’re selected, you’ll be notified via the KuaiBao message center along with a download link, 1 day after the recruitment ends. But make sure to claim the test access within 14 days and then just log in to the game to activate it. Moreover, the game is currently in development, so you may experience some bugs.
