Cookie Run: Kingdom is set to release the new Version 5.6 update “Dark Resolution’s Glorious Return”. The update will be available after maintenance which will be held around 14:00 to 19:00 (GMT +9). The new update is a direct continuation of the story that takes place in Version 5.5 and has brought us an additional cast of Cookies to be playable as well. The update is postponed and will be set to a later date.
Update: Cookie Run: Kingdom has recently announced via their social media handles that the upcoming 5.6 update which was scheduled to go live on June 20th has been indefinitely postponed to a later date. There was recently an uproar in the community regarding the update and the devs have heard the feedback thereby making the decision to postpone the update.
Some portions of this update’s content may change before its release. The finalized changes will be available in the patch notes once the update is complete. As it is, the new update will be filled with new content such as new Cookies, New Episodes, Limited Events, Toppings, Treasures, QoL updates, and more!

Ancient+ Cookie: Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie
- Rarity: Ancient+
- Type: Charge
- Position: Front
A new Cookie with the new ANCIENT+ Rarity has been added. Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie is a Charge Cookie who uses the skill “Awakened King.”
Skill Description: With his newly found strength, Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie swings the Chocoblade to deal damage, inflict Injury and Fatal Wound, and apply a CRIT Resist debuff. After this, Dark Cacao Cookie will borrow the strength of the Twin Dragons for a forceful downward strike, increasing Darkness-type damage and applying Consuming Darkness and Gloom.
At the beginning of the battle, Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie will increase the allies’ DMG Resist with a Royal Decree. Inspired by his Kingly Presence, Charge Cookies will gain increased DEF and Max HP. Dark Choco Cookie’s Channel Darkness will become more efficient, and his DMG Resist will increase.
The Rally Effect, “Channel Darkness” is available to use when obtaining Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie.
A portion of Darkness-type DMG dealt by Cookies returns as Healing. Channel Darkness is not counted as Healing. Ancient+ Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie receives additional stat buffs depending on Ancient Dark Cacao Cookie’s grade.
Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie Gacha
Try out the Nether-Gacha: Light of True Resolution with a higher chance of pulling Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie. Collect Light of True Resolution from events and the shop to pull from the gacha. You can meet a guaranteed Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie for every 250 Nether-Gacha pulls.
You can obtain extra Light of True Resolution items or Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie’s Soulstones depending on the number of pulls. Unused Light of True Resolution will be converted to Coins once the Nether-Gacha is over.
Epic Cookie: Peach Blossom Cookie

- Type: Support
- Position: Rear
Peach Blossom Cookie is a Support Cookie that uses the skill “Heavenly Fruit.”
Skill Description: With a gentle flick of a peach tree branch, Peach Blossom Cookie summons a Peach Tree that will periodically heal the team and bear Peach Bao fruits. The ally with the lowest Current HP will receive additional Healing. Peach Blossom Cookie will give Heavenly Fruits to the Allies to increase their DMG Resist and Debuff Resist.
The fruit will also grant resistance to Apathy, and ATK and DMG Resist buffs when affected by Apathy. Enemies will receive Unripe Peach Baos, inflicting DMG, reducing their ATK SPD and MOV SPD. Peach Fragrance will protect Peach Blossom Cookie, making him immune to Apathy.

World Exploration: Beast-Yeast Episode 4 – Dark Resolution’s Glorious Return
Dark Cacao Cookie’s adventures continue in the new story episode, “Dark Resolution’s Glorious Return.” Dark Cacao Cookie is set out to avenge his crumbled Dark Cacao Warriors! Follow him in his journey to find Mystic Flour Cookie. Some battle stages have the Yin and Yang effect applied.
Beast-Yeast Episode 4 Battle Effect: Yin and Yang
- White Effect (Yang): Enemies gain buffs when the Yang gauge is full. Their ATK and DMG Resist increase for a certain period, and they will receive less damage from Darkness-type attacks.
- Black Effect (Yin): Allies gain buffs when the Yin gauge is full. Their ATK and Darkness-type attacks, DMG Resist, and Healing from Channel Darkness increase for a certain period.
- In certain stages, Cookies become affected by Apathy and lose a percentage of their Max HP when hit by enemies.
- The Tactical Skill “Twin Dragons” becomes available starting from stage 4-10 in “Dark Resolution’s Glorious Return.”
- Witness the power of the awakened Dark Cacao Cookie with this Tactical Skill. Upon using the skill, the team’s Yin energy greatly increases. If Yin and Yang have already been triggered, this effect will be activated at the end of Yin and Yang’s duration. Whenever enemies gain a buff, it will be removed. If Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie is on the team, Awakened King will enhance the Twin Dragons skill.
New Rarity: Ancient+
The maximum promotion level for Ancient+ Rarity is a 6-star. A star will be added for each promotion level for ★1-★5, and merge into one big star for 6-star. The Cookie’s appearance will change and new character lines will be added for ★2/★4/★6. You can only add up to 3 ANCIENT+, ANCIENT, LEGENDARY, DRAGON Rarity Cookies to your Arena team.
Ancient+ Cookies possess Rally Effects. These cookies and the additional Ancient Cookies with the same name cannot be placed on the same team. The Ancient+ Cookies also receive additional stat buffs depending on the level of upgrades of their Ancient counterparts.
Gacha of Fate
Gacha of Fate has been added. Pull BEAST and ANCIENT+ Cookies of a select theme.
Choose a theme and pull only the BEAST and ANCIENT+ Cookies you have selected. New themes will be added in the future for new BEAST and ANCIENT+ Cookies. BEAST and ANCIENT+ Soulstones will not appear in the Gacha of Fate, only Cookies. You can only use “Fateful Cookie Cutters” and “Fateful Cookie Tickets” in the “Gacha of Fate.”
You can claim “Fateful Cookie Cutters” for clearing Beast-Yeast episodes. For players who have already claimed rewards for earning 3 stars in the Beast-Yeast episodes, “Fateful Cookie Cutters” will be delivered via the in-game mailbox once maintenance is completed.
New Magic Candy: Dark Choco Cookie
Dark Choco Cookie’s Magic Candy has been added.
- Skill Name: Downpour of Darkness
- Skill Description: Blades of darkness rain down on the enemies, dealing extra damage and inflicting them with a debuff Darkness-type damage. The rest of the team will gain a buff increasing Darkness-type damage dealt.
Cookie Run: Kingdom Version 5.6 Update: Miscellaneous Content and Updates
- Windmill Garden: You can now favorite individual Cookie Houses individually. You can now enter the Windmill Garden focused on a newly leveled-up building. Your position in each tab will now be saved when flipping between the Windmill Garden tabs.
- The Laboratorium cutscenes have been added. The text explaining the requirement for unlocking the Tropical Soda Islands has been edited.
- The Debuff Immunity animation and icon will not be displayed while under the No Debuff Immunity effect.
- The reward for clearing Beast Raid on Master difficulty has been changed. Light of Apathy x1,000 > Light of True Resolution x1,000
- Some Cookies’ stats have been rebalanced.
