Crash Bandicoot: On the run, an endless runner take on one of the most popular and prominent franchises in gaming had gained quite a following in recent times. Developed by King Digital Entertainment, a video game publisher behind many popular titles such as Candy Crush available on iOS and Android platforms, the game features the tried and tested endless runner formula with every modern mobile gaming tweak to it. However, the future doesn’t look too shiny for Crash Bandicoot: On the run as the game is shut down by February 16th 2023, confirmed by the developers at King.
Crash Bandicoot: On the run Servers will shut down by February 16, 2023
As per the official announcement, Crash Bandicoot: On the run will close down all its server by the mentioned date. Along with the information, they also added from December 19 2022 all in-app purchases will be turned off.
For any purchases made until February 16, 2023, players are advised to make use of associated purple crystals in-game. If you’re an avid player of Crash Bandicoot: On the run then any purchases you’ve made will be accessible to you until the server shuts down on February 16, 2023.
The Developers at King also added “It has meant so much to bring your favorite Crash characters to life and we’ve sincerely loved making this game. Thank you for spending your time with us and we hope you will join us in one of our many other games.” The news has made a lot of fans sad, however, there is something interesting for the Crash Bandicoot fans on the console.
On a side note, after a long period of waiting and speculations, Crash Rumble, the upcoming console edition in the Crash Bandicoot franchise was announced at The Game Awards this month. Developed by Toys for Bob, the game seems to be a team-based platformer and might help the fans to move to the upcoming game seamlessly.
