Get ready to slow down and experience a short but meaningful storyline
So, Dear me, I was… is a textless adventure game with simple interactive elements. First of all, I’m loving the soft watercolor-style by Taisuke Kanasaki, which beatuifully portrays the life of an ordinary and modest woman. And it’s perfect that the entire experience is short but meaningful, under an hour.

Here, you’ll get to witness her joy, sorrow, growth, and quiet struggles as her life unfolds by the people around her. And alongside the watercolor visuals, the game also uses rotoscope technology to tell this story. As someone who loves art, this combination keeps intriguing me for this upcoming visual feast.
Overall, the game looks very promising thanks to its meaningful storytelling, aesthetics, and also the theme song Strange Journey, along with various soothing soundtracks. Now, even though it is short and premium, I can’t wait to get my hands on this one, and also take some break from Mobile Legends.
Dear me, I was…, is launching on Android, iOS, PC, and Switch in February 12, 2026 for $7.99. If you’re using Android, you can now pre-register for the game via the Google Play Store, while iOS users need to wait. So, stay tuned for more updates.
