Diablo Immortal: Maxing out your character and its gear requires an astonishing $110,000

Youtuber makes the shocking reveal!

Over the past few days, Blizzard‘s Diablo Immortal has been the talk of the towns for various reasons. After being released worldwide, the game debuted as #1 on the US App Store and 40 other regions, but like every other game, fans have been complaining about Diablo Immortal’s microtransaction model. A Youtuber named Bellular News has calculated the total cost to maxing out one’s character’s Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal, and the final number goes beyond six figures.

The cost of maxing out one’s character in Diablo Immortal goes beyond six-figures

As per Blizzard, Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play game that features several ways players can support the game’s continued development. This has been a common scenario in the gaming industry for some time now, but Blizzard’s Diablo Immortal has gone beyond normal levels and it’s shocking what this Youtuber reveals about the max out costs.

According to Bellular News, the game’s monetization system which allows players to purchase various in-game items is programmed in such a way that it makes the min-max process costlier than ever. Diablo Immortal, features an in-game item called Legendary Gems, these are one of the three pillars for character progression in the game amidst regular XP Levels and gear and these pillars of character progression decide one’s end-game tier.

Currently, F2P players have no other way to earn top Legendary gems other than using the game’s monetization options, and according to Bellular News’s video fully maxing out a character costs $110,000 given the state of the game’s current economy. Further on in the video, Matt and Micheal of Bellular News say that the game’s Legendary Gems are a part of the impenetrable system because it takes 10 years for a player to fully max out a character in the game’s current iteration, but even then players won’t be guaranteed Legendary Gems as they randomly awarded for buying legendary loot boxes. Matt and Michael say this might probably be the reason Diablo Immortal didn’t release worldwide.

Bellular News’s video findings come amidst a very successful week for Diablo Immortal as the game’s core story is getting applauses worldwide. On the other hand, the community had already started pointing out that the microtransaction of the game is insanely expensive. Overall, Blizzard has not given any response on this yet, but only time will tell on how the issue is addressed given the fact that the community is speaking against it. Users can stay updated about all the information by visiting the official website or following the official social media handles.
