The major shift in the gaming industry is something we all long for and expect, and Dubai looks to spearhead the way for the same with its new ideas and innovations. In an impressive announcement, Dubai, the most populous city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has launched the introduction of a new Gaming Visa to make content creators come together and provide job opportunities alongside it.
Interested applicants can be part of the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033 vision
The visa is part of Dubai’s highly ambitious plan aimed at 2033. Earlier this month, UAE unveiled the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033 which would generate 30,000 jobs to increase the city’s earnings from the gaming sector. The initiative sets a target for Dubai to evolve into a $1 billion industry by 2033, while also joining other countries in helping the gaming industry grow.
With the Dubai Gaming Visa program, the city of UAE would attract talented professionals, artists, and innovators by providing them with a long-term cultural visa under its Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate program.
Now, coming to the process of the Visa application, the applicants should be above 25 years of age and attach a copy of their passport with a professional resume. A successful review would be awarded the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate, which earns the visa, and be part of the initiative. According to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, this move will help developers and attract companies dealing in digital content through technology. He stated: “Through the launch of Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, our objective is to establish an incubating environment for developers and to draw leading technology companies from across the globe, particularly those specializing in digital content and experiences.”
Overall, this initiative looks to be an industry changer, and I’m optimistic that it will inspire other countries to adopt similar strategies.
