A new game called EndCycle VS has now been released for free and is available on Android and PC! The game is grid battle and mainly features setting up your decks and engaging in combat after that. Inspired by the Battle Network series, the game has a story mode with multiple stories, arcade, and roguelike modes. There’s quite a bit of content for players jumping into the game, although some of it might be behind a paywall.
Gameplay Overview
The game features cross-play and cross-progression on Android and PC with online and offline modes. Some of the modes can’t be played without buying the premium version for $5 (which also removes ads), but that can’t be held against the game since it’s a rather straightforward way to monetize the title and bring in funds for the indie studio behind the game to keep the project running.
The game is free to start, so you can get a feel of it and decide if you want to invest in it to get the premium version. The controls on mobile aren’t the best right now, but the game does have controller support for all controllers.
The game isn’t available for iOS devices right now, but when asked about it, one of the developers replied, “Eventually, yeah, but right now we gotta focus on PC and Android“. So an iOS version is in the pipeline for the future.
Overall, the game looks pretty good with a few issues that can be easily fixed. So if you’re looking for a cool roguelike deck builder, then EndCycle VS is worth a try. For more information on some of the lore behind the game, interested players can check out the official EndCycle VS website.
