The Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event is returning in 2023 in Fortnite v26.30, as announced by Epic Games, who also confirmed new rewards and skins for certain well-known characters. Fortnite’s live service content delivery model, which continues to be a hugely popular Battle Royale, is largely to thank for this.
Together with regular updates and seasonal content, Epic Games has also been able to include crossovers with a remarkable amount of IPs in Fortnite, including video game franchises, film and television properties, and Marvel and DC comic book characters.
Fortnitemares is also bringing back the Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and more
To go along with new features like Thorne’s Vampiric Sword and Wood Stake Shotgun, Fortnitemares is also bringing back the Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and the Sanguine Sweets (Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans) from the vault. Moreover, players can participate in missions for Horde Rush and Fortnitemares. Each set offers rewards for completing 5, 15, and 25 tasks, including Back Blings, Icons, Emotes, Wraps, and many other items.
Players can get in-game goodies by finishing Fortnitemares quests! Players can earn XP by completing individual Fortnitemares Quests, and you can unlock additional, eerie content by completing a set number of them:
- Complete 5 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Bat Royale Back Bling and a Cat Banner Icon.
- Complete 15 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Sweet! Emote, Phantasmic Fall Contrail, and Hypno-Bat Spray.
- Complete 25 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Revenant Rider Glider, Within the Sanctum Loading Screen, and Rise of the Revenant Lobby Track.
Players can participate in missions for Horde Rush and Fortnitemares
Horde Rush, a one-time event, is back! Go to many locations with a team and fend against the Cube Monster horde at each one. Until you defeat the Final Boss, keep surviving! Get points by completing combos and gathering score multipliers as you defeat monsters. Horde Rush is accessible through Explore and will be available until Fortnitemares finishes November 3, 2023, at 2 AM EST.
Horde Rush has its own set of Quests, available until the end of Fortnitemares! Complete individual Horde Rush Quests to earn XP, and complete certain amounts to earn new Locker items:
- Complete 1 Horde Rush Quest to earn The Murk Wrap.
- Complete 4 Horde Rush Quests to earn the Heart-o-Lantern Emoticon.
- Complete 7 Horde Rush Quests to earn the Batwing Bonespike Pickaxe.
Apart from all these, new and returning Outfits will haunt the Item Shop during Fortnitemares 2023. The new Outfits include wrapped rapscallion Seth, muckfish Bogstick, meownstrosity Phantom Meowscles, and nautilus Festival Phaedra.
