Fortnite x FIFA World Cup: Leaks reveal a possible crossover coming soon in the game

The World Cup fever comes to Fortnite!!

One of the most well-liked live-service games for marketers to collaborate with is Fortnite. The ability of Epic Games to negotiate agreements with a wide range of businesses has been demonstrated. In the past year, the company has focused on sports brands, partnering with both the NBA and the NFL. And now as per leaks, a prospective crossover between Fortnite and FIFA World Cup 2022 is on the cards.

With this crossover, Epic is expanding its sports offering yet further. The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar with the first match scheduled to be played on November 20. The tournament will conclude on December 18, around the time of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5.

The Fortnite and FIFA World Cup combination has a tonne of promise and will be a huge perk for soccer lovers. Since Epic Games has previously worked with numerous athletes and sports groups, it shouldn’t be surprising if the next partnership proves to be yet another profitable endeavor.

Fortnite x FIFA World Cup crossover is expected to bring new skins and challenges

According to data miner HYPEX, there are present challenges for the World Cup in Fortnite’s files. It makes fitting that these tasks would reference FIFA’s World Cup, which begins on November 20, 2022. With the challenges contained in the files, players should be able to rejoice in the game.

Players may be able to catch live coverage of the games as they take place with Epic’s new screen viewing function in Creative. Whether Epic has made a map for the event—which it typically does—will determine how this works. Similar to previous sports collaborations, Epic might possibly include distinctive characters wearing jerseys that symbolize the various competing teams or emblems for this year.

Every Fortnite FIFA World Cup 2022 crossover challenge, according to leaks from Hypex, will award participants with 26,000 XP. There may be more challenges than the leaker has indicated, but there will probably be enough for at least two Battle Pass levels.

There’s a good chance that the Fortnite x FIFA World Cup crossover will last the entire duration of the major event. More information on the collaboration is likely to be released by Epic Games, so there should be additional leaks around late September or early October.
