Free Fire might relaunch in India soon as leaks hint at the game’s potential unban

A mishap turned good news!

There’s growing speculation that Garena Free Fire could be gearing up for a relaunch in India, as recent leaks have provided intriguing hints about the game’s unban. An email thread, which was leaked and subsequently shared on Twitter, revealed that the unnamed PR agency’s latest client could be Free Fire, although this getting out likely due to an untimely announcement before the intended date.

Free Fire’s new PR agency accidentally reveals the game’s potential return

Free Fire was undoubtedly one of the most popular Battle Royale games in India. The main reason behind it was it offered a decent experience with relatively lower device requirements compared to other battle royale games that were available at the time, getting a lot of players behind.

It was shocking when Garena’s Free Fire, alongside 11 other games, faced a ban by the Indian Government in 2022, which followed the game’s removal from the App Store. Despite Free Fire’s development and publication under Garena, a Singapore-based company, and its parent company, Sea Ltd, sharing the same origin, the ban was attributed to the company having developers and publishers from China.

As reported by IGN India, from the screenshot of the email shared by Twitter user Rishi Alwani, it can be learned that the PR agency is handling the title’s PR activities from now on, but however, a mishap led to the unannounced sharing. After their attempts to recall the mail, the Twitter user deleted the original tweet, which gives us further confirmation that the game’s arrival is closer.

With the return of another popular battle royale BGMI earlier this year, there’s a possibility that Free Fire might also follow suit. We do not know how and when this will happen, but when it does, it will surely get a lot of Indian players on their feet.
