According to the latest reports, Garena Free Fire is missing from the App Store and Google Play Store. The game which was first released in 2017 for mobile devices and grossed over $1 billion in 2019 has gone missing from the App Store. In September 2021 a version of the game with enhanced visuals and graphics Free Fire Max was released. However, players around the world were surprised to find out that both versions of the game have been removed from the App Store and Free Fire is removed from Google Play.
As of now, there is no explanation from the game’s publisher Garena or Apple or even Google as to why the game is missing from the App Store and Google Play library. And there have already been speculations going on if Free Fire and Free Fire max are moving towards a ban phase. Nothing is confirmed as of now.
Possible reasons why Free is not available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
Both versions of the game Free Fire and Free Fire max are missing from the App Store followed by Free Fire’s removal from Google Play. This came as a shock to many players as they are in quite a shock since their favorite game has gone missing. Along with that, some players have also reported that they are facing problems while accessing the game. Players have taken the issue to social media where they have tweeted and posted about the problem in the official handles of the game.
The developers have responded to the login issue and shared a post:
“We’re aware about the issue and getting it investigated. In the meantime, please share your Network Provider name and also if you’re using mobile data or Wi-Fi to launch the game.”
The game may have been temporarily removed due to any upcoming update and will be added again once the update is launched. Another scenario is possible where the developers have taken down the game to work on the log-in issues that players have while running the game. The worst-case could be Krafton’s lawsuit against Garena. Whatever it is, all we can do is wait for an official statement regarding the situation from Garena without speculating further.
