Genshin Impact is finally here with the star of Version 2.7 Update, Yelan. The character teaser for Yelan, which came out a few hours ago on the Genshin Impact YouTube channel, left fans both excited and a bit reluctant to pull for her.
The trailer, titled Yelan: Inevitable Justice, showcases the attractive-looking Hydro-DPS bow user kidnapping and interrogating two shady guys, who are talking about her, behind her back. But, what they do not realize, is that Yelan is coming right for them from upfront.
Yelan: Character background
Yelan is one of those characters, who can be calm and rational while managing to look domineering. For someone who works at the Ministry of Civil Affairs, this is a very useful trait. With her visual traits, the teaser also revealed data about her Vision (Hydro), her Constellation (Umbrabilis Orchis). She is a bow user affiliated with the Yangsheng teahouse. She is voiced by Sheryl’s voice actor, Aya Endo for the Japanese version, and Laura Post for the English.
Yelan was first revealed back in March with Kuki Shinobu, a new Electro character. Fans are loving her look, but are a bit reluctant about pulling her, as she is a bow user. This is a weapon that many players believe is not as good as weapons that give close-up fighting action.
Final Thoughts
This belief could prove to be false. With the game-breaking popularity levels, Yelan is bound to be a strong player in the game. But players should not be disheartened, as there won’t be much time, between 2.7 Update and 2.8 Update, as HoYoverse said that 2.7 will last only for 6 weeks before Version 2.8 is released on July 13th.
