The global interactive entertainment company HoYoverse made an announcement today revealing that Genshin Impact version 4.3, titled “Roses and Muskets,” is scheduled to launch on December 20. Following Fontaine’s significant crisis resolution, Version 4.3 aims to ease the pace of adventure and highlight the Fontinalia Festival, an essential tradition in Fontaine.
Moreover, two new playable characters will be introduced: Navia, the president of Spina di Rosula, and Chevreuse, the captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol. Additionally, Version 4.3 will include a range of updates and enhancements.
Fontinalia Festival unveils spectacular film tribute to legendary Lochknights in Genshin Impact Version 4.3
The upcoming Fontinalia Festival plans to host an exclusive movie event that commemorates the legendary Lochknights‘ tradition, welcoming the previous Hydro Archon Egeria to Fontaine. Led by Furina, an unlikely team consisting of the Kamisato siblings, the Traveler, and the famed Chioriya Boutique fashion designer, Chiori, collaborates on a film project.
Alongside this cinematic endeavor, the festival offers engaging mini-games like “Into the Frame,” where participants craft short films using various camera angles and narratives, and a marksmanship-themed training session. Through triumphing in these activities and earning Theater Tickets, attendees can acquire diverse festive rewards, including the coveted 4-star claymore, the “Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword.”
New playable characters, Navia and Chevreuse, bring explosive firearm action to Genshin Impact
Amid this celebratory ambiance, two aficionados of firearms, Navia and Chevreuse, are set to become playable characters within the game. Navia, renowned as the president of Spina di Rosula and a 5-star Geo claymore wielder, brings a unique skill set to the table.
She can unleash “Rosula Shardshots” from her elegant yet deadly gunbrella, with the number of shots determined by the accumulation of “Crystal Shrapnel.” This resource can be obtained through Crystallize reactions or her Elemental Burst, which also inflicts substantial AOE Geo damage on her adversaries.
Joining the ranks as another firearms expert, Chevreuse, a 4-star Pyro polearm wielder and captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol, adds diversity to the team. Armed with a musket, Chevreuse can unleash bullets causing AoE Pyro damage.
Additionally, her Elemental Skill provides healing to the active character, while she enhances firepower with an explosive grenade capable of splitting into multiple secondary explosive shells upon impact. In the Version 4.3 Event Wishes, Navia’s debut and Kamisato Ayaka’s rerun take the spotlight in the first half. In contrast, Chevreuse enters the scene during the second half alongside reruns of the Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya.
Genshin Impact Version 4.3 will feature a series of updates and optimizations
Several permanent game modes and time-limited events are set to receive updates introducing fresh features and rewards. In the upcoming Genius Invokation TCG update, expect a substantial expansion with an increased card roster, NPCs open for challenges, and the addition of a time-limited Heated Battle Mode. Within the Serenitea Pot, a new layout resembling Fontaine’s style will become accessible.
Returning events like Itto’s Beetle Battle and Liben’s daily requests will come back, offering diverse and exciting features along with generous rewards. Moreover, various optimizations are geared toward enhancing travel across Teyvat. Soon, the introduction of a “one-click function” will simplify tasks like collecting rewards from expeditions and repeating them, as well as gathering processed ingredients and forged items.
Players will gain the ability to manage Artifacts more efficiently by batch locking or unlocking them and automatically locking new or existing ones matching specific filters. Additionally, a new feature, Artifact Set Recommendations, will enable players to view the Artifact Sets chosen by other active players for a particular character.
