- Genshin Impact debuts Lauma, a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst user who introduces the brand-new Lunar-Bloom reaction!
- Flins and Aino join the roster, bringing Lunar-Charged Electro strikes and the quirky duck-shaped “Knuckle Duckle” invention!
- The Fatui plot thickens with Sandrone’s arrival as “Marionette” and Columbina’s return as the revered Moon Maiden of Nod-Krai!
Genshin Impact Version 6.0 update, titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue”, arrives on September 10th, 2025. This major update opens the gates to Nod-Krai, a brand-new northern region made up of three mystical island territories.
With its moonlit landscapes, ancient Kuuvahki power, and deep ties to the Fatui, the expansion promises a haunting yet enchanting adventure. It’s exactly the kind of atmospheric shift I’ve been waiting for, mysterious, lore-rich, and full of fresh mechanics to explore.
Introducing the new region Nod-Krai, and the new Archon Quest
I love how every Genshin region has its own identity, and Nod-Krai seems especially haunting and ethereal. It’s not just about snowy islands and moonlight vibes; there’s an entirely new elemental system at play.
The Kuuvahki energy sounds fascinating, especially with the ability to transform into Kuuhenki and glide along Moonlanes. If this is anything like Fontaine’s underwater exploration, I’m expecting exploration to feel fluid, immersive, and just a little otherworldly.

Plus, the Archon Quest setup has me hyped: teaming up with Lauma against the Fatui, joining Flins to resist the Wild Hunt, and even encountering Columbina again, except this time as the revered Moon Maiden. That mix of mystery, lore, and character payoff is exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
Genshin Impact Version 6.0 Update: New playable characters and reruns
Lauma: 5-Star Dendro Catalyst

Lauma is easily my most anticipated character of this update. As the Moonchanter, she introduces the brand-new Lunar-Bloom reaction and brings with her a stunning half-deer transformation. Her Verdant Dew mechanic enhances Bloom-related damage, adding a deeper layer of synergy for Dendro teams. I love when Genshin ties nature and combat together, and Lauma feels like the perfect embodiment of that theme.
Flins: 5-Star Electro Polearm

Flins commands the battlefield with Lunar-Charged strikes, unleashing either a devastating single blow or a flurry of spear attacks. As a Lightkeeper, he also carries strong ties to the mysterious Wild Hunt, making him feel both powerful and steeped in lore. He looks like he could easily become a cornerstone Electro unit, and I’m itching to see how his kit plays out in practice.
Aino: 4-Star Hydro Claymore

Aino is pure Genshin charm. With her inventions and her duck-shaped combat device, “Knuckle Duckle,” she brings both humor and creativity to the roster. What makes her even better is that she’ll be completely free to recruit through the Archon Quests, giving everyone a chance to experience her quirky playstyle. To me, she feels like the perfect introduction to Nod-Krai’s lighter side.
Re-runs and Chronicled Wish
The re-runs this time will be Nahida for the first phase and Yelan in the second phase.
Rewards and Big System Changes
Some big changes are being brought up in this new chapter of Genshin Impact. Firstly, character Levels have now been increased to Level 100. Masterless Stella Fortuna is going to let us push characters beyond their old caps. I’ve been waiting for this forever, and it feels like the perfect way to celebrate Genshin’s 5th anniversary.
Pair that with a free 5-star of choice, 1,600 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, and those Nod-Krai gadgets, and honestly, this is one of the most generous update packages we’ve ever seen. Smaller quality-of-life tweaks also stand out: previewing artifact affixes, more team slots, and new Battle Pass harvestables. They’re subtle but make the grind way smoother.
Final Thoughts
Genshin Impact Version 6.0 update Nod-Krai isn’t just another region; it feels like a turning point for Genshin Impact. Between the Fatui drama, new elemental mechanics, a stacked character lineup, and anniversary-level rewards, Version Luna I is shaping up to be a landmark update.

Personally, I can’t wait to dive into Lauma’s story, explore the misty Moonlanes, and finally meet Columbina face-to-face. If Fontaine was about the depths and Natlan about fire’s ferocity, then Nod-Krai looks like it will be about mystery, moonlight, and hidden truths. And honestly? I’m ready for every second of it.
