Genshin Impact wins the ‘Best mobile game award‘ at The Game Awards (TGA) 2021. The popular game Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo has made an impact on the mobile gaming industry by winning the ‘Best Mobile Game‘ Award at TGA 2021.
With a physical audience this year, The Game Awards 2021 was held LIVE at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California, United States. The event was hosted and produced by its very own Founder, Geoff Keighley, a Canadian television presenter best known for hosting the video game show GameTrailers TV.
Nominees and Winner of ‘Best Mobile Gaming’ Award
Presented by American wireless network operator Verizon, the ‘Best Mobile Game‘ Award is given to ‘the best game playable on a mobile device’.
The nominees for the ‘Best Mobile Game‘ Award at The Game Awards 2021 were:
- Fantasian by Mistwalker
- Genshin Impact by miHoYo (WINNER)
- League of Legends: Wild Rift by Riot Games
- MARVEL Future Revolution by Netmarble
- Pokémon Untie by TiMi Studio Group/The Pokémon Company
Other nominations for Genshin Impact at The Game Awards
Apart from its nomination and win in the ‘Best Mobile Game‘ Award category, Genshin Impact also has another nomination at The Game Awards 2021, being a nominee in the ‘Best Ongoing‘ Award category, which is given to a game “for outstanding development of ongoing content that evolves the player experience over time”.
The nominees for the ‘Best Mobile Game‘ Award at The Game Awards 2021 were:
- Apex Legends by Respawn/EA
- Final Fantasy XIV Online by Square Enix (WINNER)
- Fortnite by Epic Games
- Genshin Impact by miHoYo
- Call of Duty: Warzone by Infinity Ward/Raven/Activision
Despite its relatively young age having just been released in late September last year, Genshin Impact also had a nomination at The Game Awards 2020, being a nominee in the ‘Best Mobile Game‘ Award category. The Award, however, went to Among Us by InnerSloth.
How to get the 1600 Primogems reward as part of the Genshin Impact’s win at TGA 2021
Following the announcement “Genshin Impact Wins Best Mobile Game Award at The Game Awards 2021“, Genshin Impact took it to its official Twitter page, thanking players for their support and coming alongside the game through this journey.
They also announced that 1,600 Primogems will be given out by the game from December 11 to December 14 (2021). The game also added that these Primogems would be given via in-game mail at 00:00 (server time) each day from December 11 to 14, with 400 Primogems being given out on each of these days. These Primogems, however, will only be available to claim for Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 7 or above at any time before the end of Version 2.3.
