Honor of Kings Challenger Cup 2023: Teams, Format, Prize Pool, and More

The third season is here with some big surprises!

The Honor of Kings Challenger Cup 2023 is back again with its third season. With a total of 16 teams from four different events, the tournament will feature nail-biting matches and intense action from the dynamites of the game’s pro teams. Scheduled to start on the 13th of October 2023, the event will choose the ultimate champion of Honor of Kings’ domestic major league.

The pro scene of MOBA action will rush the adrenaline through each of the players, spectators, and fans of Honor of Kings Esports. Organized by Tencent Games and VSPO, the event will be held offline in Taihu Esports Arena, Suzhou.

Honor of Kings Challenger Cup 2023: Schedule and Format

The event is set to kick off on the 13th of October. With a total of 6 teams, the tournament will run till the 5th of November 2023. Divided into two stages, the battle to become the champion will begin with the Swiss stage draw on the 8th of October. After deciding the bracket, teams will start the event journey on the 13th.

The first stage of the event, the Swiss round, will commence on two sets of dates. A few of the matches will take place between the 13th to the 18th of October while the rest of the matches will take place from the 20th to the 22nd of October. Teams will fight 5 rounds in a Swiss format, each round’s opponent will be decided on the team with the same record. Followed by a BO3 format in Challengers’ Blessing Rules, teams that can take three matches in their pockets will go to the playoffs.

From the 24th of October to the 5th of November, the playoff stage will take place. All matches will be BO7 in a single elimination bracket. The top 8 teams will join this playoff round and each stage (Querter, Semi, and Grand Final) will knock out the losing sides.

Participating Teams

A total of 16 teams will fight each other in the Honor of Kings Challenger Cup 2023. Among the participants, 8 teams are from the KPL Summer, 3 teams each from the KGL Summer and National Competition, and the rest two will be from the Streamers League. The list of the teams is as follows.
