Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has announced that its highly anticipated open-world action RPG, Honor of Kings: World, is set to launch in spring 2026 on mobile and PC in China. This spin-off of the Honor of Kings IP was first announced back in November 2021 and opened pre-registration in China this April. We can expect a simultaneous worldwide release.
Experience a Genshin-like adventure with HOK charm
We’ll just have to wait a bit longer for the highly anticipated title, Honor of Kings: World, which recently won Most Anticipated Game of the Year at the GamingonPhone Awards 2025. Developed by Tencent Games and TiMi Studio Group, you can soon dive into this open-world RPG spin-off.
I’ve been closely following its updates, and I feel the wait is worth it. Often dubbed by the new “Genshin-Killer” in the Gacha community, this title takes you journey across the vast HOK-based open world. You can also explore places like the Dreamweave Plains, Dragon Valley, Underground, and more.
Players can fight alongside their favorite HOK heroes, and even build and explore the open world
The best part is you’ll get to fight alongside your beloved HOK heroes, use their signature skills, and even take a break from battles to build a home or pursue a peaceful career. I like how the game blends Genshin-like gameplay with HOK’s unique charm, offering boss fights against the Crimson Beast or summoning legendary creatures like the Azure Beast.
From what I’ve seen so far, it looks very promising to me, especially with its stunning visuals, diverse weapon types, multiplayer modes, boss fights, and more. I’m really hoping for a simultaneous global release, considering the team previously hinted at a worldwide release at gamescom 2025.
