Guerilla Games is currently working on a new multiplayer online Horizon title and it seems as if the title would not be just limited to consoles and PC, but will also come out on Mobile devices. The game was appreciated for its open-world element across the globe with fans praising the concept of the game. The update of the game’s arrival on mobile devices will surely rejuvenate the fans with excitement.
A job listing from developers has sparked speculations among fans
In the job listing posted on the Guerilla Games website, the developers reportedly mentioned the role of a game writer, with the developers specifically looking for a person who has “shipped at least one, narrative-heavy mobile game or indie game.”
The emphasis on the mobile gaming experience and more specifically open-world RPGs, MMORPGs, reflects fairly on the fact that the developers might be looking forward to launching the game for the mobile gaming audience as well. Sony has previously expressed interest in expanding their audience and gaming IPs on a much wider scope. This could be the entry point of the Horizon franchise in the mobile sphere.
The game is expected to be an indie mobile version of the critically acclaimed title
Horizon Online game is expected to be a smaller scaled game considering the fact that it goes with the term ‘indie game’ in the listing. There were some leaked screenshots that were allegedly claimed to be from the Horizon online multiplayer, the screenshots suggested the game to be less graphically advanced than that of the original Horizon title, again hinting at the fact that developers might be trying to make it adjustable with mobile requirements.
If the rumors prove to be true, it will be interesting to see how well the game will be optimized for mobile devices. Horizon Zero Dawn for instance, was a brilliant game both in gameplay and performance perspective making itself and the series in general pretty famous with the fans. Needless to say, fans will be having high hopes for the game if it ever makes its debut on mobile devices.
