Huxiu, a Chinese technology and innovation information platform recently shared an insightful report reflecting on HoYoverse‘s estimated annual revenue and roadmap for the year ahead. According to the report, HoYoverse is planning to invest 20-30% of the income in a spin-off movie for Genshin Impact, which comes with a “regardless of the profit or loss at the box office” catchphrase reflecting the importance and certainty of the project.
However, the information should be taken with a pinch of salt as there are no official confirmations as of now. GamingonPhone reached out to a HoYoverse spokesperson who denied to comment on this.

As per the reports by the Chinese technology and innovation information platform, the developers are ready to invest as much as 30% of the total revenues in the development of this film, and that too comes with the developments taking place irrespective of returns from the box offices. This goes to show that the project is rather a high-priority target for HoYoverse to achieve.
Genshin Impact has a huge fanbase around the world, and part of that is because of the inclination toward the graphics and anime-based open-world RPG environment that the game offers for the fans to explore and experience. It will be interesting to see how fans across the globe will like the movie if it is released.
