Arcane: the League of Legends series is releasing on Netflix on November 6th

The series follows the origins of Jinx and Vi!

Netflix has announced its upcoming animated series Arcane, based on the League of Legends which will be premiered on 6th November 2021. The show will be set in Runeterra where the prosperous city of Piltover exists beside the more impoverished underground city of Zuan, known as the “City of progress” in Runterra. The story further follows the origins of Jinx and Vi, the two League champions, and “The Power that will tear them apart”.

Arcane series will look at the world behind League of Legends

The Arcane series coming on Netflix is based on the world behind League of Legends where it dives into the thin and delicate balance between the seedy underbelly of Zaun and the rich city of Piltover. Most of the brilliant minds call these cities home. But the creation of Hextech, a way for any person to control magical energy, threatens that balance.

The star-studded cast includes Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Katie Leung (Caitlyn), Ella Purnell (Jinx), Kevin Alejandro (Jayce), and many more. As we can see in the trailer, Arcane’s first season will include nine episodes released weekly in groups of three. The show is all set to premiere on Netflix, shortly after the League of Legends Worlds Finals end. The first three episodes are expected to focus on sisters Jinx and Vi’s early relationship after which the series turns explosive as it progresses. The second three episodes will launch on November 13th and the final three episodes on November 20th, 2021.
