HoYoverse has been making some headway with its Anti-Infringement Campaign with a group selling Cheats for Genshin Impact being apprehended recently. The studio made it clear that they will be taking strict infringement actions against leakers and cheats in a bid to promote a fair gaming environment for all.
HoYoverse collaborated with the Xuhui police to catch the group selling cheats for Genshin Impact
HoYoverse has been very active and filling the gaps between finding the perpetrators and putting them behind bars. There have been many instances in the past when HoYoverse took action against companies and individuals alike. This time around they collaborated with the Xuhui police in China to take action against a group that was actively engaged in selling cheats for Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact as many would know has an active community with players from all over the globe playing the game on a regular basis. Hence cheats give an unfair advantage to some while others are left helpless, hence HoYoverse’s Anti-Infringement Campaign is definitely a step in the right direction. The studio cooperated with Xuhui Police to catch the perpetrators red-handed.
Suspects Zhang and Xie have been criminally detained on charges of damaging computer information systems. HoYoverse has been actively encouraging players to share the information of the ones who are suspected to be selling cheats or servers in the game. They are actively encouraging players to not take participation in such activities too, as it would lead to HoYoverse taking legal actions against them too.
A similar incident happened last year where three people were imprisoned for producing illegal cheats and hacks. The studio is clearly determined and actively engaged in taking relevant legal actions against the perpetrators to provide a fair gaming environment for the fans and players without the fear of competing against hackers and cheaters in the game.
