The endless runner quickly gained worldwide recognition and became one of the most downloaded mobile games of all time. Following Metroland’s release in 2022, although one would expect Kiloo to drop more such brilliant titles to the mobile platforms, they might have decided against it.

Thomas Frøhlich, Director of Game Design at Kiloo, shared a post via his LinkedIn, regarding the situation. He wrote: “I’ve seen passion, dedication, frustration, anger and it’s clear that the road to a great game is not always straightforward. 12 years later the journey with Kiloo ends as all employees have been served with a warning about termination by the end of the month.”
