Great news for MMORPG fans as Legends of Lunia is confirmed to be arriving on Android devices. The game is said to be a sequel to the cult classic known as Lunia Z (formerly known as Lunia: Record of War) on PC. Legends of Lunia is currently available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store. Read on to know more details.
Return of the popular cult classic
Lunia Z or Lunia: Record of War was an action-oriented MMORPG. The game was initially launched in 2005 with Korean-only serves before full global servers were launched in the year 2008. The game gained popularity for being different from other popular MMORPGs at the time owing to its arcade-like nature. Unfortunately, developers allm did not have sufficient funds to keep the game’s servers afloat.
However, the game had amassed such a dedicated following that the servers were kept afloat thanks to user donations for a long time. However, allm eventually pulled the plug on the game on New Year’s Day in January 2014, much to the disappointment of the game’s small but loyal fanbase. Since then, allm has shifted focus to other projects most notably Kritika Online which is a Hack and Slash based MMORPG.
Additionally, it has also recently secured partnerships with Tencent and Com2us. These new deals seem to have given a much-needed financial boost for the company and may be the reason behind the return of Legends of Lunia. There are also whispers of Lunia Z returning to PC, although not much is known about this particular piece of information.
Legends of Lunia opens up pre-registration on Android
Legends of Lunia will not be the same as Lunia Z, rather it serves as a sequel. The iOS version is expected to arrive at a later date. If you are interested in pre-registering, all you have to do is head over to the game’s Play Store page and hit Pre-register.
Legends of Lunia for mobile is said to feature simple controls that would heavily appeal to newcomers as well as veterans and a dash of high-octane action. There are said to be multiple heroes present in the game, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Players can team up with their friends and raid dungeons, defeating bosses along the way.
