HK TenTree Games has announced the launch of their high-end mecha strategy RPG, Metal Storm, which is now available on Android and iOS in Japan. Also known as Mecharashi, the game previously had early access for Android and iOS in select regions. This will be a localized version for the Japanese audience.

Metal Storm is a futuristic, Sci-fi strategy RPG set shortly, focusing on mecha battles, where your strategic decisions will lead you to victory. You play as a commander, directing pilots in your customized STs while planning your strategy to win. You can freely paint each part and weapon of the ST, and add decals to personalize your mechas.
Originally titled Front Mission 2089: Borderscape, the game was based on the Front Mission IP and was a collaboration between ZLONGAME, Black Jack Studio, and Square Enix. Unfortunately, it was reportedly canceled in 2022 and was later renamed Mecharashi, which was released in China last year.
HK TenTree Games is bringing Mecharashi to Japan under the title, Metal Storm
Earlier this year, HK Ten Tree launched Mecharashi’s early access phase following a round of closed beta testing in select regions including Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. They are launching the game in Japan as Metal Storm which will be a localized version for the Japan region.
Metal Storm is now available in Japan on both Android and iOS and you can download it via your respective Google Play Store and App Store. There is currently no information available regarding a global release. Additionally, to celebrate the release, Metal Storm is giving 10 players the chance to win 10,000 yen worth of rewards.
