miHoYo, the developer and publisher of games like Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and other very popular games, is now opening the doors to its new development studio in Montréal, Canada. Montréal has been a pretty popular hub among game development studios with big names like EA, Gameloft, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and others establishing their bases in the city.
miHoYo currently hiring for its new Montréal studio
This new studio will be hiring 100 employees for their Canada development team as they coordinate with the global development team to work on games. And the first game that this team will be working on has already been teased! miHoYo will be working on a brand new AAA open-world action–adventure game. The game will feature shooting-based gameplay and is set in a “living, breathing” paranormal world.
The new concept that miHoYo is going to work on does sound quite interesting and it will likely be coming to mobile along with other platforms.
