Netmarble CEO Kwon Young-sik and Lee Seung-won have announced on January 12 that its subsidiary company Netmarble FNC has officially acquired another gaming company named Itam Games. Netmarbe has decided to acquire Itan Games because it specializes and is also based on NFT and blockchain technology.
Netmarble plans to introduce NFT and blockchain in their games with this acquisition
Netmarble FNC with CEO Woo-Won Seo sees the acquisition as an opportunity to introduce blockchain technology to the game that is going to be developed by the company, which in turn will help in speeding up the penetration into the global P2E (Play to Earn) and Non-Fungible Token (NFT) markets.

“Based on our experience of releasing P2E games to multiple networks, we will do our best to quickly apply blockchain technology to Netmarble FNC games and provide stable services,” said Gil Ah-seong, CEO of ITAM Games. Seo Woo-won, CEO of Netmarble FNC, said, “This year will mark a huge turning point in the global game market.”
Netmarble has already started its journey into the world of NFT Games with its North American subsidiary, Jamcity titled Champions: Ascension that is scheduled for a 2022 release. The game is currently in early stages and promises to bring excitement for both crypto enthusiasts and gamers
