Netmarble’s North American subsidiary, Jamcity has established its blockchain-only department to develop games based on the web3 model. The mobile games developer has helmed various high grossing and highly acclaimed titles like Cookie Jam and Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and on the back of the success of these games made it to the Top 10 US publishers on the App Store and the Play Store. Champions: Ascension release will be the first video game by the newly set up wing.
The move follows suit of other gaming studious like Zynga, Epic, and Ubisoft among others. The popularity of web3 games has been on the rise and the meteoric success of Axie Infinity shows the potential of the new age games.
Champions: Ascension will be a Play to Earn(P2E) game based on web3 fundamentals: Non Fungible Tokens(NFTs) and Decentralised Web. The fantasy adventure RPG title is set in Massina: a player-driven universe where players battle it out for unique and vast riches in the form of tokens (NFTs).

A presale of a limited commodity named Prime Eternals will be available ahead of Champions: Ascension release. Prime Eternals are high-fidelity NFT champions that have been individually crafted with care. Only 10,000 of these divine beings from Massina that are immune from death will be minted and will not be available later.

The game pits players in a strategic battle where they will try to outsmart the opponents using the legendary gladiators in the arena.
