South Korean game developer and publisher Netmarble Games has held its 5th NTP, or Netmarble Together With Press earlier today, at its new headquarters in eastern Seoul. During this 5th NTP Event, NetMarble has announced a massive lineup of games containing 18 mobile titles and 2 titles for PC. Among them, 80% of the announced games are being developed for the global market. Half of the games which have been revealed today will be released this year. On top of that, 15 of the games will be the company’s in-house development, two of the games are jointly developed, and the rest 5 are from third-party developers. Here is a list of all the games from NetMarble announced in the 5th NTP Event.
The company’s plan regarding their IP expansion includes a variety of fields such as webtoons and web novels, developing sequels of successful games, etc. Besides, it will invest in third-party developers that specialize in their interested fields to bring joint IP. For the first time, there will be no talks of NetEase lacking its own IP.
There has been so much talk that Netmarble lacks its own IP, but that is because the company started as a publisher in the beginning, Now, the company is ready to push its own IP more

Netmarble plans to put more focus on NFT games and develop metaverse
Netmarble, after the announcement regarding the lack of its own IP, also shared other plans. The company plans to develop metaverse-based games which will allow players to lead an online life. Besides, the Blockchain gaming business is another field that Netmarble wants to enter badly. Due to Korea’s game law that imposes restrictions on gambling or speculation, the plan is not going to see the face of light soon.
“We plan to develop metaverse games that allow users, either individuals or companies, to gain virtual assets that can be exchanged for real assets such as currency through blockchain technology,” said Netmarble Chairman Bang Jun-hyuck. “Many local and global gaming firms are preparing blockchain-based games, and it is a trend. Yet, it is regrettable that the service is unavailable in South Korea,” Bang added.
