Monster Hunter Now by Niantic and Capcom is all set for a global launch this September and has now opened pre-registration for both Android and iOS platforms. The game follows similar “move and play” gameplay mechanics as Pokémon Go, where players will have to find and hunt monsters in their surroundings depending on the habitat.

Players of the original Monster Hunter series might know how popular the game franchise is. Starting from 2004, there have been a good number of game releases and spinoffs that have been played across multiple platforms. In the game, you play a Hunter whose main aim is to protect his surroundings from the monsters.
Announced first in April this year with the closed beta scheduled last month, Monster Hunter Now will be coming maintaining the core gameplay, but however, with a change in mechanics. Each battle will last for a 75-second timeframe where you have to hunt the monster down, the controls will be a one-finger swipe as indicated from the gameplay overview, where Hunter movement and actions are done via swipe controls that are supposedly simple.
Upon its worldwide launch, the game will offer players a roster of 13 monsters to encounter namely Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Pukei-Pukei, Barroth, Great Girros, Tobi-Kadachi, Jyuratodus, Paolumu, Anjanath, Rathian, Legiana, Rathalos, and Diablos. As far as weapons are concerned, you will have six of them: Sword & Shield, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Light Bowgun, and Bow, each with special skills that you can perform.
The gameplay showcase also gave a glimpse of Group Hunt, with which you can fight a monster with nearby players (within 200 meters), which seems to be an exciting feature moving forward. All you have to do is just find teammates, and by clicking on the invitation, you can pair up and fight a single monster in the area. You also have the option to join hunting parties with friends.

Players can now pre-register for Monster Hunter Now on their Android and iOS platforms by visiting the Google Play Store and App Store pages of the game respectively. For the same, a pre-registration campaign is also live, which will be rewarded once the global pre-registration milestones are reached. The details are as follows:
- 500,000 pre-registrations: Potion x10 and Paintball x3
- 1,000,000 pre-registrations: Founder Medal and & Wander Pebble x3
- 2,000,000 pre-registrations: Special Pre-Order Makeup x2 and Item Box Expansion +500
- 3,000,000 pre-registrations: Special Pre-Order Makeup x2 and Double Rewards Ticket x3
- 5,000,000 pre-registrations: 10k Zenny and Item Box Expansion +500
