The game company HAEGIN has revealed a worldwide partnership agreement with the Sanrio characters intellectual property (IP) for their mobile casual social network game, Play Together.
Kaia Island welcomes Sanrio Characters Hotel, paving the way for Play Together enthusiasts
This partnership introduces a diverse range of content featuring the Sanrio character’s intellectual property to Kaia Island, the very setting of “Play Together.” At the heart of this collaboration is the opening of the “Sanrio Characters Hotel,” painted in pink, in the Downtown area of Kaia Island. Within this hotel, NPCs embodying beloved Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and Pochacco eagerly greet and assist visitors.
To commemorate the inauguration of the Sanrio Characters Hotel, special events have been incorporated to offer players opportunities to collect Sanrio-themed items. Players can initiate their involvement by undertaking missions to assist NPC Hello Kitty within the hotel premises. Completion of these missions rewards players with event coins, which they can exchange for exclusive items like the Hello Kitty Hotel Gown, Hello Kitty Hotelier Uniform, and the Hello Kitty Bath Bucket (Vehicle).
Additionally, an attendance event is in place, granting players the chance to obtain the Cinnamoroll Profile image. Furthermore, a Gift Calendar has been introduced in the Downtown area, allowing players to gather a diverse array of items inspired by the Sanrio characters.
Play Together and Sanrio Characters bring new costumes, furniture, and more
A representative from HAEGIN expressed that, along with various other additions, additional items featuring Sanrio characters’ intellectual property have been incorporated into “Play Together,” including new costumes, furniture, and vehicles. HAEGIN and Sanrio Korea intend to continue discussions regarding potential future additions of Sanrio character’s IP-based content to the game.
“Following last year’s collaboration with BONO BONO, we find the collaboration with the Sanrio characters during Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary this year to be quite meaningful,” said a representative from HAEGIN. “We expect Play Together to thrive in the global market through the positive synergy that will be generated by collaborating with the Sanrio characters that are widely popular with younger generations around the world.“
