From Wednesday, April 20, 2022, to Monday, April 25, 2022, in the Pokemon GO April 2022 Sustainability Week, trainers will be able to reflect on the importance of sustainability while another PokƩmon originally discovered in the Alola region makes its PokƩmon debut!
Oranguru pokemon makes its debut in the game

The Sage PokĆ©mon named Oranguru makes its PokĆ©mon GO debut this sustainability week. Also, for the first time in PokĆ©mon GO, youāll be able to encounter Shiny Cherubi, if youāre lucky!
Complete Timed Research during Community Day and Niantic will plant trees
On Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time, there will be Timed Research available. Each phase will require you to adventure 1 km, and doing so will earn you an encounter with Cherubi. During the entire day of April 23, 2022, for every Trainer who adventures 5 km during Community Day, Niantic will plant a tree (up to 100,000 trees).
A new Collection Challenge will be coming into the game
A collection challenge inspired by nature is on the way! Complete it to obtain a Mossy Lure Module and 15 Great Balls for your Elite Collector medal.
Furthermore, Gloom and Weepinbell, two of the PokĆ©mon you’ll need to catch, will only appear if you employ a Mossy Lure Module.
Wild Encounters

The following PokƩmon will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Oddish
- Grimer
- Turtwig
- Grotle
- Cherubi
- Trubbish
- Ferroseed
- Oranguru
If youāre lucky, you might encounter the following.
- Venusaur
- Phantump
Eggs

The following PokƩmons will hatch from 7 km Eggs:
- Alolan Diglett
- Larvitar
- Cherubi
- Oranguru
If youāre lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
Field Research task encounters

The following PokƩmons will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks.
- Turtwig
- Cherubi
- Snivy
- Trubbish
- Chespin
- Phantump
Alongside all these, 2x bonus XP Event bonuses will be available from spinning a PokƩStop for the first time in Pokemon GO.
