This August, players will be getting another Community Day of 2022 in Pokemon GO where trainers will see Galarian Zigzagoon, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon, and its appearance in the wild. The Community Day will also have many bonuses and research tasks and, many more running on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.
Pokemon GO July 2022 Community Day: Featured Pokémon
On Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, Galarian Zigzagoon will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Moreover, if trainers are lucky, they might encounter a shiny one as well.
Featured Attack
Obstagoon
Evolve Galarian Linoone (Galarian Zigzagoon’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get an Obstagoon that knows the Charged Attack Obstruct.
Gust
- Trainer Battles: 15 power and guaranteed to increase the user’s Defense and lower the opponent’s Defense.
- Gyms and raids: 20 power
Community Day Special Research story – Field Notes: Galarian Zigzagoon
- For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, Field Notes: Galarian Zigzagoon.
- Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research story go live.
- Don’t forget: you’re now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.* To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button.
Tickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.
Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day
After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to challenge unique four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Galarian Zigzagoon to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!
Four-star Raid Battles
Galarian Linoone will be appearing in four-star raids! You can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to join these raids.
Bonus for completing four-star Raid Battles
Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Galarian Linoone, Galarian Zigzagoon will begin to appear in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one! Galarian Zigzagoon that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during August Community Day’s three-hour event period.
Timed Research
Timed Research focused on Galarian Zigzagoon will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You will need to catch a total of one hundred Galarian Zigzagoon to complete this Timed Research in full. As you progress through and complete the research tasks, you will receive the following:
- Obstagoon Hat
- Obstagoon Glasses
- Obstagoon Gloves
- Obstagoon Pose
These items will also be available for purchase in the in-game shop after the event.
Event Bonuses
- 3× Catch XP
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon. Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- Trades made during the event and up to five hours afterward will require 50% less Stardust.
- One additional special trade can be made during the event and up to five hours afterward for a maximum of three for the day.
The Special Trade bonus will be active from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. This bonus stacks with the additional Special Trade bonus for the Season of GO.
Ultra Unlock event bonuses
The following bonuses will be active from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon
- 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon.
- Two additional Special Trades can be made during the event. This bonus stacks with the additional Special Trade bonus for the Season of GO, for a maximum of four Special Trades for the day.
- Trades made during the event will require 75% less Stardust.*
Bonuses for groups
Work together with other Trainers between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time to unlock additional bonuses! If enough Pokémon are caught by Trainers with help from a single Lure Module, wild Galarian Linoone will appear near the Lured PokéStop!
