Pokémon Unite leaks reveal the movesets of upcoming Pokémon, Scyther and Scizor

Movesets for upcoming Pokémon announced!

Things are escalating quickly in August for Pokémon Unite. Not very much later than the leaks revealed the upcoming Pokémon in the roster, several dataminers including YouTuber Phil Youmus have now further leaked the movesets of Scyther or Scizor, which is one of the upcoming Pokémon coming in Pokémon Unite. The allrounder, the Bug-type from Generation I, Scyther, and its evolution Scizor is circulated to be coming to the roster. However, previously a trusted datamine source, ElChicoEevee confirmed that it would be the player’s choice to evolve Scyther to Scizor in the game.

Such an instance is unique in the game and would enhance the game for sure. For now, let’s take a look at the probable moves of Scyther and Scizor as per the leaks. Note that, Scizor is leaked to arrive in the roster on the 29th of September, 2022.

Pokémon Unite: Scyther or Scizor movesets

Scyther would be the next Bug-type/ all-rounder combo in the game after Buzzwole. These are the moves associated with Scyther or Scizor.

Basic Attack

The skill becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing additional damage and increasing the players’ movement speed for a short time.

Passive Ability- Technician (Scyther)

After this Pokemon uses a move, its next basic attack will change and deal with two consecutive Basic attacks instead. The second of these deals with decreased damage.

Ability 1 – Fury Cutter (Scyther Only)

This Bug-Type move has the user slash twice with its scythes in a cone-shaped area, dealing damage. The second slash deals more damage than the first.

Ability 1 upgrades

It is still not known as to which level Ability 1 will upgrade, but Scizor and Scyther would have different Ability 1 upgrades. If players do not choose not to evolve Scyther, it would have a different skill than what a Scizor would have.

Dual Wing-Beat (Scyther if not evolved)Bullet Punch (If Scyther evolves into Scizor)
The skill has the user slash in front of itself with both of its scythes, dealing damage to the opposing Pokemon in an X-shaped area of effect.

If this move deals damage to an opposing Pokémon in the centre of the X-shaped AoE, it restores the user’s HP. If the move hits, this move can be used again, within a set time.

In such a case, the player dashes to the designated area, dealing damage. The lesser the opponent’s HP, the more the damage in such a case.
This steel-type move has the player dash in the designated direction and strike opposing Pokémon with tough punches.

If this move hits opposing Pokemon, its cooldown is reduced, and the user recovers a portion of its HP, based on the amount of damage dealt. If Bullet Punch is used again within a set amount of time, the number of punches and the amount of damage dealt increase. The number of punches increases from three to a maximum of five.
Upgrade: The skill increases the Damage Dealt. Upgrade: The skill also grants a shield, if this move hits opposing Pokemon.

Ability 2 – Quick Attack

The skill has the user dash forward in a designated way, dealing damage to opponents who make contact on its way.

Ability 2 upgrades

These moves would be available to both forms, irrespective of whether you evolve them or not.

Double HitSword’s Dance
The user jumps towards the enemy, marking it and dealing damage. After it hits, the user again jumps to a designated direction, and when it hits, the next basic attack becomes a booted one, while the user charges the enemy.

Once the marked Pokemon gets knocked, all the user’s moves’ CDs are reset.
The user dashes for a short distance, increasing its attack power for a short time. When the Attack Power is increased, the eighth Basic Attack becomes an AoE attack, which pierces through the opponent, in a line, dealing damage.
Upgrade: The skill reduces the move’s cooldown. Upgrade: This skill also reduces the damage the user receives while dashing.

Scyther or Scizor: Unite Move

The move has the user dash and attacks an enemy. It creates 5 illusory copies of Scyther. The copies deal damage to any opponent Pokemon it comes in contact with and applied a mark on them. The copies then return to the user. If the move is used again within a set time, the copies again deal damage to the opponent. The marked Pokemon, if knocked out, reduces the cooldown of Scyther’s moves.

The player dashes and punches the designated opponent, dealing damage and reducing their movement speed. With the last punch, five copies of Scizor appear, which deal damage and reduce the opponent’s speed for a short time. If used again within a set time, the user dashes towards an opponent and punches the ground, dealing AoE damage. While dashing, if the user holds an opponent, it carries it with it. If in this case, the opponent hits a copy of the user, it is left stunned for a short time.
