- Ponchorado drops you into a 1930s cartoon-like Wild West roguelite set inside the ruins of an unfinished movie.
- The game offers 10 Gatekeeper Bosses, lost scenes, unleashed characters, solid lore, clean cartoon visuals, and more.
- Go for the BOSSCAR, the Academy’s highest honor, and claim your recognition.
SEAL.GAMES has announced their new roguelite action survival title, Ponchorado, which is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS. This satirical Wild West title is expected to launch on February 25, 2026.
Fight through a broken film world as a forgotten stuntman
So, Ponchorado instantly caught my attention with its 1930s cartoon style and the idea of exploring the ruins of an unfinished western movie. Here, you step in as Poncho, a forgotten stuntman trying to claw your way through chaos, clichés, and oddball caricatures in a setting that’s satirical yet nostalgic.
Now, as a never-credited side character, you get to battle through a broken film world, teeming with bizarre gatekeepers, missing scenes, and even unleashed characters. That said, I like how every character seems hungry for a spotlight in this movie that technically never finished.
Take on Gatekeeper Bosses and chase the BOSSCAR nomination
The Oscar parody works for me as you’re fighting for the BOSSCAR, the highest award here, which feels like more than just a shiny trophy with fame. On top of that, the overall lore, the goofy characters, and visuals really won me over and also reminded me of a little of ACECRAFT, the Cuphead-like shooter title.
Also, your main goal is to beat all ten Gatekeeper Bosses to earn your BOSSCAR nomination, and I can’t wait to try out and see if I can guide Poncho from an extra to a true leading role. And like me, if you want a fast-paced cowboy shmup with clean visuals, you’ve got to wait for this one.
Ponchorado is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS. You can pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. We can expect the game to release on February 25, 2026, based on the App Store’s listing.
