Zero36 Studio, a subsidiary of ByteDance, and CCG Lab have announced plans to develop a new Star Wars digital collectible card game for Android, iOS, and PC. They are teaming with Lucasfilm Games, a subsidiary of Lucasfilm, for this project, and aim to provide a fresh experience for the global audience.
Prepare to battle across the Star Wars galaxy once again
As a longtime Star Wars fan, I’m really happy to see Zero36 Studio and CCG Lab teaming up with Lucasfilm Games for a new digital CCG. Like the idea of battling across the Star Wars galaxy again feels great, especially since other titles like Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes just weren’t enough.
Now, in this upcoming CCG, we’ll be able to collect iconic characters and build decks around our favorites like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. However, there isn’t much information available yet, since development has only started. Even so, I’m really optimistic about this one as it’s from a beloved IP.
I mean, another reason why my hopes are high is that Cory Jones, the CEO of CCG Lab, said they’re creating an “experience that captures the thrill, adventure, and heart of Star Wars” while still keeping it fresh. Plus, both CCG Lab and Zero36 Studio have solid expertise in the industry, and I just hope they deliver something special.
