Nexon is reportedly working on Project DW, an open-world action–RPG title based on Dungeon & Fighter intellectual property. Project DW is expected to be a cross-platform game developed for global distribution on Mobile devices, PC, and consoles.
Project DW be inspired by another action RPG title Dungeon & Fighter
Not much is yet known about the game, but it is expected that more details will be shared in the coming days. Nexon did release a Press Statement regarding the details of the game. The game however is not the first remake of the classic Dungeon and Fighter, several other games like Project BBQ, a 3D action game, and Dungeon Fighter Overkill which was a remake with 3d graphics were also released previously inspired by Dungeon and Fighter.
Dungeon and Fighter, also known as DNF is an action game franchise based on the incredibly popular Dungeon Fighter Online game which was released by Neople and Nexon on August 10, 2005. Dungeon and Fighter as a game got very popular because of the in-game mechanics and gameplay where strategy goes out of the window and all you have to do is mash, both buttons, and enemies.
The game also had a variety of skills and moves which gave players a chance to combine deadly combos together. The game has several classes and incredibly flashy attacks, game modes, and even PVP.
The game offers a variety of options whether it is the combat system or the player customization. You can make sure that your player stands out in the crowd. It will be interesting to see how Project DW will be able to develop and enhance the old-school Dungeon and Fighter experience because the game was a hit and has set high standards as a benchmark for Nexon to compete with.
Project DW currently has no release date, as it was just announced. But new updates are expected to follow very soon from the developer’s end.
