PUBG Mobile 3.8 Beta Version Update: What’s new and how to download

After a pretty good 3.7 version update of PUBG Mobile, the new 3.8 Beta version is already here with lots of cool items and features. In this version, we will see many new contents as well as a new classic game mode that is based on the famous Japanese anime, Attack on Titan.

We will also have a brand new transportation option to traverse the maps. The new beta version is already available to download. Here’s a detailed look at what’s coming. It is set to arrive in May.

Introducing the new Train service and ODM gear

For the first time in the history of PUBG Mobile, the Train is coming to the game’s classic mode. We will have multiple trains that will operate in the map. A massive railway track will cover the whole Erangel map and there will be multiple rail stations where we will be able to board the train.

However, the model and interior of the train look pretty old-fashioned. The tracks are also based on broad-gauge architecture. These trains will run frequently and can accommodate many players. In this update, the color schemes, structures, and scenery are mostly inspired by the Steampunk theme.

We will have many machines and other equipment with this vibe. Like the previous mode, this mode will not have a final boss to fight. This update also introduces a special and unique equipment: the ODM Gear. This item is taken straight from the Attack on Titan anime. You can use it to fly and attack enemies with its hand cannons.

Brand new Steampunk Frontier mode

The version 3.8 update of PUBG Mobile will offer an exciting themed mode of gameplay to carry the overall essence of the update. This new mode is called the Steampunk Frontier mode.

Since this new mode is partially based on Steampunk architecture, the main theme location of this mode and other items will also have an 19th century Victorian era influence, particularly the steam-powered industrial age.

The main event location of this theme mode will also look like a rail station with many futuristic inventions that never actually existed in history. Like a special jackpot vending machine, loot boxes, etc. The overall vibe of the structures and the buildings will have a setting of a futuristic 1800s London or a Wild West America, where steam is the main power source.

The addition of the train also solidifies this agenda. We will also have robotic statues in the stations and other locations with mechanical limbs, corsets, top hats, goggles, waistcoats, leather lace, and brass accessories.

Collaboration with the Attack on Titan anime

The special IP collaboration partner of the 3.8 Beta version of PUBG Mobile is the famous Japanese Manga and Anime, Attack on Titan. In this mode, you will be able to transform your in-game character into a giant titan. You attack enemies, destroy buildings, and vehicles with your massive transformed self.

Classic Gameplay enhancements

The PUBG Mobile 3.8 Beta also brings several enhancements to the classic gameplay:

• Shooting while driving: From the 3.8 update, you will be able to shoot with your weapons while riding a motorcycle. Previously, only the pillion was able to do the said thing.
• New self-revive mechanism: If your teammate gets knocked-out and they do not have a AED kit, then do not worry as from now, you will be able to give them a AED kit after getting knocked-out and they will be able to pick it up perform self-revive procedure.
• Vehicle repairing: From now on, you can remove and change the flat tires of your vehicle. This feature can be a game-changer in esports.

Visual and Sound enhancements

The visual and sound effects in the 3.8 Beta have been upgraded to match the new features. The steam-powered machinery and equipment, detailed animations like gun reloading and driving, and character transformations contribute to a more immersive and intense gameplay experience.
